• Welcome to ACT Prep Math Class.  Students will begin this course by taking an ACT pre-test in Mathematics, Science, English and Reading.  A composite score will be tabulated providing baseline data for improvement.  ACT Prep is a 12-week course designed to assist students with ACT preparation.  Studies will focus on English, Mathematics, Reading and Science.  Students will also work on test taking skills by completing practice problems in each area. 

  • Welcome to Biology B!  This one-trimester required course will cover the State Content Expectations for High School Biology.  The areas that will be covered will be scientific inquiry, taxonomy, evolution, ecology, life cycles and bioethics.  Note that a passing grade must be earned in Biology A to take Biology B.

    Welcome to Biology A! This one-trimester required course will cover the State Content Expectations for High School Biology.  The areas to be covered will be scientific process, cell structure and function, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, mitosis, meiosis, and genetics.

    Welcome to Introduction to Physics.  This course will cover the State Content Expectations for High School Physics.  Areas include metrics, motion, force, acceleration, power, heat simple machines, waves and sound, and light and optics. Electricity and magnetism are also included.  Students engage in numerous laboratory experiments as well as projects.  The basic skills inscientific mathematics are stressed. 

  • Welcome to Earth Science!  Students who take this class will learn about a variety of topics including:  plate tetonics, atmosphere and weather, meteorology, weathering and erosion, igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, minerals, and supervolcanoes.
