• The major goal of the course will be to improve strength, power and agility of athletes.  Class will include strict weight training and a variety of agility routines. Monthly testing will monitor progress.  The goal for each student/athlete is to improve their athletic ability through a sound weightlifting, running, and flexibility program.  Also, each student athlete will be tested every four weeks to show improvements in strength, power and speed through the following tests:  bench press max, squat max, clean max, vertical leap, pro agility shuttle and 10/20/40 yard dash.  In addition, students will input their scores on these tests on a national database that will compare them to other students in the country.  This is endorsed by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

  • The class will examine how our government works and interacts with the citizens of the United States.  The students will examine how our core democratic values and principles were involved in developing the Constitution, three branches of government and our Bill of Rights.  The students will also develop an understanding of their role in how our government works.  approve
